Can not open docx with OSX

I am generating the a docx file wiht tinybutstrong. Now I just found out that I can not open the file under apple OSX (10.9.2) ms office 2011. It just stand when I try to open manually. Is that supported? Where should I check if something is wrong?

There should be no difference between OSX or Windows, or even open the DOCX with LibreOffice on a Linux system.
