Big picture/Flow chart/ect....

Is there any place on WWW where I can read more about the internals of TBS.
I would like a run down on what happens internally in the life cycle of a TBS creation.
I have looked through the code but I find it sparsely commented and my php qualifications are not up for the challenge :)
I hope someone will lent me a hand.
