dynamic checkbox

I have a form that I am displaying a bunch of checkboxes that are generated from a database. I am stuck on how to have some of the checkboxes show as checked after they are generated. Any suggestions ?

Have you looked at the Examples on this site - specially 'List, radio and checkbox'?
And try using the Search in this Forum.
First 'checkbox' and also 'funny' giving link to the 'funny example' are good.
