tbs - options problems

I cannot manage to properly define an option html element as selected. The element simply gets added at the end of the list and is selected. But then I have two of the same options in the list. It doesn't work at all as in the examples... Any help would be appreciated.

I found the problem. I had one block and one field inside the value attribute. I put one of them in the javascript for the jump menu instead.
