Create pptx file with merged blocksHello everyone :)
i can not explain what is causing my problem. I use the OpenTBS Plugin und want to fill a pptx file. I have already working examples but when i want to create a new pptx template some variables like [Firma.Name] (its german) will not be substituted by the Plugin. When I have two such templates, the variable will be substituted and not in the other template. Just when i copy a workling slide and do not touch each variable, it works. Is there any structure one need to have in those pptx templates? The strange thing is that when i have a working template and just add a blank after a variable like after [Firma.Name], it does not work anymore and causing errors like no substitution or that the variable is neither be found. I hope you can help me :) Best Regards Jenni |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocksAfter a long search i found out that when for example the variable [Firma.Name] occurs in my template, the Plugin reads [ Firma.Name] and therefore cant recognize the data.
But i dont know what is causing this blank in the template. |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocksHi,
Could you send to me such a template, so I could test this case? |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocksHello,
Thanks for your template. I had a look and the problem is unfortunately the classical problem: they are splits in the inner XML. It is not visible but the first character « [ » is considered as French language, and the end « Firma.Name] » is considered as Deutsch. The solution is to cut the tag, and then use the past without formatting button in order to have it without split. |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocksHei thanks for your fast reply :)
How can i use the past without formatting button? Is there a disable-button? Thanks :) |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocksSo what do you mean with "cut the tag" ? When i have for example [Firma.Name] i should just delete the "[" and "]" and i use the last "]" without formatting ?
When i just delete everything and paste it without formatting , it works fine. But the question is how can i change a fully formatted pptx file ( with underlining and formatted fonts) to get recognized by the tool without loosing the original format. :) |

Re: Create pptx file with merged blocks> So what do you mean with "cut the tag" ?
Select "[Firma.Name]", then function cut (ctrl-alt-x for exemple, or using menus), then function paste. > When i just delete everything and paste it without formatting , it works fine. That's it. But you need to delete with cut in order to paste. > But the question is how can i change a fully formatted pptx file ( with underlining and formatted fonts) to get recognized by the tool without loosing the original format. :) I don't know yet. I've already done a plug-in for Ms Word that can clean tags, but it is more difficult for Powerpoint. |
