MergeBlock Not working in Joomla1.7

Hi/Bonjour,

I am using joomla 1.7, and have just installed the corresponding TBS plug-in.

Despite trying with a range of text editors (tinyMCE, JCE, CodeMirror, and even no editor at all copying and pasting the HTML from the forum), I cannot get the example given on the Joomla forum (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/data-reports/5427) to work.

I have looked extensively through the Joomla/TBS manual (http://www.tinybutstrong.com/plugins/joomla/tinybutstrong_help.html) , and the "Joomla custom reports using TBS" guide written by Cheshirecat. Again, Joomla doesn't seem to "register" TBS (even though it is installed and enabled), and so always produces webpage output like the following:

{tbs} mergeblock=content;sql=SELECT title, hits FROM zxv_content{/tbs}
Title    Hits   
[content.title;block=tr]    [content.hits]   

(I have changed the joomla database tables prefix from the default "jos").

One thing that did occur to me while going through the (otherwise very helpful) "custom reports" guide is that there are no TBS plug-in parameters in joomla 1.7, and therefore no "Allowed Articles" entry. (There is in Joomla 1.5, on which this guide is based). Perhaps this is why it doesn't work?

Some more guidance on the joomla forum pages/your website on how to use this, and in particular troubleshooting advice for when "nothing happens" (as above) would be my suggestion for how you can make your product even better.

But I cannot reproduce it. The TBS plug-in was fully functional on my Joomla 1.7.3.
I need a way to reproduce the behavior (missing plug-in parameter) in order to help.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in. Parameters are still invisible, and plug in still not working.

My Joomla 1.7.3 is otherwise fully functional, so it's strange that it doesn'work here.

What more do you need from me to solve the problem? Are there any settings in the tinybutstrong files in the Joomla folder that I need to change (as per Leon's suggestion)?
