Could not find an XML setup file in the package

Hi All,

This has been posted before, and I tried the suggestions listed in one of the forums, but it still didn't work.

My joomla version is 1.5.9 and the TinybutStrong I'm trying to install  is version 3.4.0

Installing via the "Upload Package File" box gives me:
Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

After that I unzipped the package and placed it in the .../htdocs/joomla/tmp directory and in the "Install from Directory" I place the full path, but I got this bizzare messge :

Warning: require_once(....htdocs/joomla/libraries/joomla/installer/adapters/extension.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ..../htdocs/joomla/libraries/joomla/installer/installer.php on line 216

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '...../htdocs/joomla/libraries/joomla/installer/adapters/extension.php' (include_path='.:/opt/lampp/lib/php') in ....../htdocs/joomla/libraries/joomla/installer/installer.php on line 216

Am I missing something ?

I tried several variations of directories like

....joomla/tmp for example and I got "milder" errors like:

"Please enter a package directory"

Please assist me in figuring this out...

I had this once, but that was because I was not doing the correct procedure.
I have the same Joomla version.

You have to choose "Upload Package File", and select the "joomla_plugin_tinybutstrong.zip" file.

If it still don't works, check permissions on the joomla folder and sub folder. It may not be able to uncompress the zip file or to copy files.
