the most fucked upTinyButStrong is one of the most fucked up template "engines" I know.
I have just seen a few examples and its usability is almost zero. R. |

Re: the most fucked upTinyButStrong is an easy, lightweight and powerful template engine.
It's really easy to use once you have understand the basic principles. By the way, your comment is not really useful. If you don't like TBS, don't use it. There are many, many other templates engines in the wild. Find the one that suits your needs. Finally, this is my chance to tell Skrol29 what a great job he's done. Keep up the good work. Many people appreciate your work. |

Re: the most fucked upI would agree that TBS is not a traditional, php-ish template.
I would also agree that it is not the easiest to learn. On the other side, they may also be advantages: TBS is designer friendly. TBS allows you to think in way of data and html, not in loops, conditions, or php array functions. Whether these are usable quality or not depends on your need. As Leo stated, you are always welcomed to try to improve on it. I just came back from Colemak keyboard layout forum where many people offered alternate layouts. Hell, even I have made two myself. |

Re: the most fucked upRoy,
Maybe you should read more examples, rather than "just a few". :) My company uses TBS for every project we do, from small web apps to huge enterprise applications, and it has never let us down. Repeat -- in all the projects we've ever done, we've _never_ had to resort to anything but TBS to display our pages, no matter what the complexity. We can train web designers -- not programmers -- to use it within a week. And customers love it. I don't know how much PHP code you've written, but our company has 19 years of experience in the software industry, and about 8 years writing PHP. And we think TBS is probably the best PHP library available on the Internet. |

Re: the most fucked upI agree with Andy, TBS is by far the best PHP library on the net. Want proof just how good it is, then look here http://www.bonez.co.uk - a full E-Commerce website that runs just on the power and ease of TBS.
TBS saves me hours of PHP coding, I mean what more can you ask for....they give it away for free, if you find it hard and unusable then use a different one, but I guarantee you this.....TBS is second to none |

Re: the most fucked upRoy,
You will probably never read this because you are a moron who did a drive by spamming. This is more for Skrol29. Skrol29, you have written a very elegant template class. Very clean, very fast. I use this for every web app I develop. I have even thought about porting this to Drupal. I'll let you know if that happens. - Jared |

Re: the most fucked upAll,
(1) Replying to Roy' "drive by" is an obvious waste of your time (2) Most of the people here know what TBS can do, so we don't need to post here just to tell Skrol29 how great TBS really is (3) By not replying to Roy's thread it will fall of the bottom of the active topics - and it/he will die a natural death STOP |

Re: the most fucked upHey TomH,
While I understand you wanting to control this thread, I think it serves a great purpose. It caught my eye, and I am very aware of TBS strong points. It might catch the eye of someone on the fence and they will see validation of using TBS from many professionals. Just my $.02 - Jared |
